Health Advice

Please find below information from the School Nurse Team, about times when it may/may not be suitable for your child to attend school due for health reason.

Anyone who has experienced a sickness bug should not return to school until 48 hours have passed since their last episode of diarrhoea/vomiting.

For more information on this and other health related conditions, please refer to the NHS Choices website. Please see link below.

If your child is absent from school for health reasons, please make contact with us by 9am on the first day of their absence and each day thereafter until their return. A written note (email accepted) is also requested, explaining why they were absent, upon your child's return to school.

If your child has a hospital appointment, we request that the school office are provided with a copy of the appointment letter, as per our attendance policy.

If your child's absence exceeds 3 days, a doctors note or equivalent, may be requested.
